1. Bookings

Bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until Archway Dogs has accepted your booking and any required payment has been received.

When making a booking, you are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information about your dog, including their age, breed, health, temperament, behaviour and any known behavioural issues.

If there is anything you believe could affect the safety or suitability of your dog participating in a service, you must tell Archway Dogs before the service begins.

2. Training Courses

Group training courses normally run for six weeks, unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.

Current six-week courses include Puppy Training, Juvenile Training, Agility, Gundog and Obedience training.

Course dates, times, locations and availability will be confirmed when booking.

Places are subject to availability, and Archway Dogs reserves the right to determine whether a particular class or training environment is suitable for an individual dog.

3. One-to-One Training & Home Visits

One-to-one sessions are tailored to the individual dog and owner. Owners should provide as much relevant information as possible before the session so that Sunnie can understand the reason for the appointment and determine whether the service is appropriate.

Recommendations made during or following a one-to-one session are based on the information available at the time. Successful dog training requires consistency and ongoing work by the owner outside individual training sessions. Archway Dogs therefore cannot guarantee a particular behavioural outcome within a specified period.

4. Dog Walking

Before accepting a dog for pack walking, Archway Dogs may need to assess whether the dog is suitable for the service and compatible with other dogs within an existing group. Owners must disclose any relevant information concerning their dogs:

• Behaviour or temperament

• Recall

• Interaction with other dogs or people

• Medical conditions

• Medication

• Allergies

• Injuries

• History of aggression or biting

• Any other issue that could affect their safety or the safety of others

Archway Dogs reserves the right to decline or discontinue walking services where it considers that continuing would be unsafe or inappropriate for the dog, other animals, and members of the public or the handler.

Please note: As of September 2026, the service of general dog walking will be discontinued. Archway Dogs can refer you to an experienced walker if you enquire. Archway Dogs will maintain a small pack to train and socialise dogs that need specific reactive work. Please see Walk & Train Socialisation.

5. Walk & Train Socialisation

Walk & Train Socialisation is available only to dogs considered suitable by Archway Dogs. The owner must accompany their dog on this activity.

The service is not automatically appropriate for every nervous, anxious or reactive dog.

We will assess and consider the dog's behaviour and individual circumstances before confirming whether participation is appropriate. This is done as a 1:1 initially.

Owners must disclose any known history of aggression, biting, significant reactivity or other behaviour that may present a risk.

You may be asked to muzzle your dog.

Archway Dogs reserves the right to refuse or discontinue participation where there are concerns regarding safety, welfare, suitability or insurance requirements.

6. Health & Welfare

Owners are responsible for ensuring their dog is fit and healthy enough to participate in the service booked.

Please inform Archway Dogs of any illness, injury, medical condition or medication that could affect your dog's participation.

You must also notify Archway Dogs if your dog develops an infectious or contagious condition that could put other dogs at risk.

Archway Dogs reserves the right to refuse participation where there are reasonable concerns about the health or welfare of the dog or other animals.

7. Behaviour & Safety

The safety and welfare of dogs, owners, other participants and members of the public are extremely important.

Owners must disclose any known behavioural issues before attending a class, walk or training session.

Archway Dogs reserves the right to ask a dog to leave a group class or other service if its behaviour presents an unreasonable risk or makes the environment unsuitable for that dog or others. You may be asked to muzzle your dog.

Where appropriate, an alternative training option may be recommended with another trainer or behaviourist who has more experience in that particular area.

8. Children Attending Training

Children can attend puppy training if they're 8 years old or over. Toddlers cannot attend. Children over the age of 8 and under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

9. Pricing & Payment

Current prices are displayed on the Archway Dogs website or confirmed at the time of booking.

Archway Dogs reserves the right to change its prices. Any price change will not affect a service that has already been booked and paid for unless otherwise agreed.

Where a discount is offered for booking multiple services together, the discount applies only where the relevant services are booked and paid for at the same time and subject to the terms of the offer.

10. Cancellations, Refunds & Missed Classes

Cancellation of a six-week course before it begins

Cancellations with a full refund can only be offered if the cancellation is made within 14 days of the actual booking, not the start date of the course. Cancellations up to the time of the course beginning within 7 days, clients will be offered a new date to start in the following term. They will not be offered a refund.

Missed classes during a six-week course

If one class is missed, you will not be offered a refund. You can make up that missed class in the following term. If more than 1 class is missed, you will not be offered a refund or be able to make up additional missed classes.

Cancellation/rescheduling of one-to-one appointments

All one to one appointments made must be paid in full before the date of the appointment. You will receive an email/invoice with the required payment details. One to one appointments can be rescheduled.

Cancellation of dog walks

Walks must be cancelled at 3 days before the walk occurs. Otherwise, you will be charged for the walk.

Required notice periods

Bookings are made in good faith with clients. The required notice periods are fair and not adjustable.

Refunds or credits

Cancellations made suddenly due to unforeseen circumstances after the notice period will be subject to the circumstances and a refund may only be offered at the discretion of Archway Dogs. A new date will always be offered to commence the activity or course.

What happens if Archway Dogs has to cancel a class or appointment?

In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, either a few days before the booked activity or on the day of the activity, if we have to cancel with you, the client, you will be offered a new date to commence the activity.

11. Weather & Exceptional Circumstances

The owners and dogs welfare will always take priority. All outdoor sessions of training will occur under the shade of trees, unless deliberately working out in the open on a field or along the pedestrian highway.

Archway Dogs may alter, postpone or cancel a walk, class or outdoor training session where weather conditions or other circumstances could make it unsafe or inappropriate to continue.

This may include severe weather or circumstances outside the reasonable control of Archway Dogs. In cases of high temperatures and hotter days of extreme heat in the summer, Archway Dogs will reschedule the activity to occur earlier in the day at a time when it is cooler or will postpone the activity for another day.

In cases of heavy rain and thunder storms, Archway Dogs will postpone and reschedule the activity. In cases of drizzle or light rain, the activity may go ahead, depending on how long the drizzle or rain lasts. Archway Dogs will discuss this with clients before the activity begins on the day or evening before on learning the weather forecast, or on the day itself.

Where this happens, affected customers will be contacted as soon as reasonably possible.

12. Training Results

Every dog is different and training outcomes can be influenced by numerous factors, including the time frame expected to achieve results, previous experiences, temperament, environment, health and the consistency with which training is continued outside sessions by the owner.

Archway Dogs will provide professional guidance and support and in most cases the behaviour is resolved but we cannot guarantee specific results or that a behavioural issue will be completely resolved. In these rare cases, clients will be referred to another trainer or behaviourist on assessment of the issues arising.

Owners remain responsible for implementing training recommendations appropriately and consistently.

13. Veterinary & Behavioural Issues

Dog training is not a substitute for veterinary care.

Some behavioural changes can have an underlying medical cause. Where appropriate, Archway Dogs may recommend that an owner seeks advice from a veterinary professional before continuing training.

Archway Dogs reserves the right to recommend another suitably qualified professional where a dog's needs fall outside the services or expertise being offered. Clients will be referred to another trainer or behaviourist on assessment of the issues arising.

14. Owner Responsibility

Owners remain legally responsible for their dogs and for providing accurate information about their health and behaviour.

When participating in classes or owner-attended activities, owners are responsible for following reasonable instructions provided by Archway Dogs and for maintaining appropriate control of their dog. Owners may be asked to muzzle their dog or that they and their dog be removed from the class.

Owners must respect other members of their class and the Instructor. Any rude, aggressive behaviours towards others or the instructors or dogs will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave the class immediately. There will be no refund.

15. Photography & Video

Photographs or video may occasionally be taken during Archway Dogs activities for educational, website or marketing purposes. Participants will be asked verbally on the 1st class or session if they agree or disagree to being filmed for the WhatsApp class group, website or for any other marketing purposes.

When booking the 6-week course or a 1-1 session, consent for being filmed is requested in that email. Participants not wishing to be filmed may reply to that email with their requests noted.

16. Personal Information

Personal information supplied to Archway Dogs will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection requirements and the Archway Dogs Privacy Policy. Information will only be used where reasonably necessary to administer bookings, deliver services, communicate with customers and operate the business.

17. Changes to Services

Archway Dogs may make reasonable changes to services, schedules, instructors, locations or course arrangements where necessary. Where a significant change affects an existing booking, customers will be informed as soon as reasonably practicable.

18. Website Information

Archway Dogs makes reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on this website is accurate and current. However, course dates, availability, pricing and service details can change. Where there is any discrepancy, the information confirmed directly by Archway Dogs when accepting a booking will apply.

19. Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated periodically to reflect changes to Archway Dogs' services, policies or legal requirements. The latest version will always be published on this website.
